Sir Patrick Stewart has blamed alcohol for his fall out with James Corden at an awards show last year (10), admitting he was "out of control" when he berated the British comic onstage.
The Star Trek actor confused the audience at the Glamour Awards in London in June (10) after scolding host Corden for giving the audience an unsightly view of his bulging stomach.
He snapped at the funnyman, "From where I was sitting, I could see your belly," while Cordon retorted, "You could see my belly. I can see you dying right now."
Now the veteran star insists he regrets his bizarre and booze-fuelled rant.
He tells Britain's Classic FM, "My part of the evening came late and it was alcohol (that prompted the remark), I'm afraid. I went too far, I was somewhat out of control. I have nothing but admiration for Mr Corden. I still blush in remembrance of it."
