Dance Dj Skrillex shared the secrets of his success with aspiring musicians in South Africa on Thursday (28Feb13) as part of a free workshop.

The Grammy winner joined forces with officials from the Bridges for Music non-profit organisation to teach fans about electronic music and technology at the Guga S'thebe Arts & Cultural Centre in Cape Town, in a bid to introduce new sounds and artists to the local culture.

After the event, Skrillex reached out to fans on his Twitter.com blog to express his gratitude for being given the opportunity to talk to kids.

In a post on Thursday, he writes, "Want to thank... @bridgesformusic for brining (bringing) us into the Langa township in Cape Town Sa. So inspired...

"And much respect to all the locals who made it out to the workshop... was so great to meet all of you".

Skrillex is in South Africa as part of his global Mothership Tour.
