Britney Spears is set to undergo a psychiatric evaluation in a bid to determine whether she is fit to regain control of her affairs, according to a U.S. report.
The singer's father, Jamie, was made conservator of her estate after the 2008 meltdown which saw her hospitalised on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
Jamie filed legal papers over the summer (Jun09) suggesting he would remain guardian of the Toxic hitmaker's assets until the end of 2009, when the courts will decide whether Spears is fit to take back control.
And now Tmz.com is reporting that lawyers for the star are currently meeting to schedule an evaluation of Spears' psychological state, in which a "capacity expert" could let her take charge of her personal affairs.
However, the website is reporting that Spears' business affairs will likely remain under her father's conservatorship.
