Spears Parties After Judge's Warningby Contributor | 20 September 2007
Britney Spears was seen partying at two posh Los Angeles nightclubs, hours after a judge ordered her to attend regular drug tests and parenting sessions.
The Baby One More Time star, who was spotted wearing a stylish pair of glasses, kicked off the night at Winston's before moving onto the Hyde Lounge - another classy club.
The singer, who was besieged by paparazzi throughout the night, was told by a judge yesterday that she was a "habitual, frequent and continuous" user of alcohol and controlled substances and was ordered to appear for random drug tests twice a week.
Judge Scott Gordon also stated that Spears must not consume alcohol or drugs 12 hours before meeting her children. The star could lose custody of her two children if she violates the conditions laid down by the judge in court proceedings against her former husband Kevin Federline.
The pop princess has also been directed to enrol in one-to-one counselling sessions on childcare issues and to meet with a parenting coach every week, who will assess the singer's progress.
Spears must also complete a programme called Parenting Without Conflict and attend joint co-parenting counselling.
The judge's directives came after her manager and lawyer ended their association with her.
Spears, whose latest album will be released in November, has also been universally ridiculed for her performance at the MTV video music awards. The singer has been criticised for a "zombie-like" and lacklustre performance of her single Gimme More at the show.
