DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES' brother EARL SPENCER regrets his infamous outburst at the British monarchy at his sister's funeral 10 years ago (97). Spencer admits the sentiment of what he was said was right, but he could have expressed it in another way. During his eulogy at the London's Westminster Cathedral, Spencer was seen to attack the royal family, by saying, "I pledge that we, your blood family, will do all we can to continue the imaginative way in which you were steering these two exceptional young men so that their souls are not simply immersed by duty and tradition but can sing openly as you planned." Ten years on, Spencer says, "I'd much rather I hadn't had to deliver it all, but when the moment came, I felt I had to step up for Diana. "To be honest, I still feel I did the right thing. "I know that when I die it will be the only thing I am remembered for. You can't speak your mind and then be offended when people don't agree with what you are saying."
