The MTV Video Music Awards is moving home, to the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Last year's show drew the biggest audience in Mtv history, with some 12.4 million tuning in. It was also the most "tweeted about" awards show ever, with Beyonce revealing that she was pregnant live on stage. The R&B superstar had performed her single 'Love on Top', before dropping her microphone, unbuttoning her jacket and putting her baby-bump on display - it led to an astonishing 9,000 tweets per second. The Video Music Awards will air live from the Staples Center on Thursday September 6, 2012, though before that Russell Brand will host the 2012 Mtv Movie Awards from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. The show - on Sunday June 2 - will see The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids doing battle for the evening's top prizes.
