Gary Barlow - Stars Are Coming Out Tonight: Gary Barlow Truly Shines At Olympics Closer
Gary Barlow showed true courage when he stepped out on to the stage to perform alongside his Take That band mates at the Olympics closing ceremony only days after his fourth child, Poppy, was delivered stillborn.
Many fellow celebrities took to Twitter following the 'X Factor' judge's performance to express their feelings of amazement and respect at his bravery. Warm-hearted comedian David Walliams hailed Barlow as 'a national treasure' while Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh insisted she was 'full of admiration' for the star. Louis Walsh also urged his followers to re-tweet that Barlow was going to perform. It was highly doubted, when Barlow released his devastating statement earlier this month, that he would be able to make the concert; possibly being too stricken with grief to be able to utter the words of his band's heart-wrenching songs. However, the Celebrity Dad of the Year 2012 overcame all odds and fought back his heartache in a military style uniform whilst belting out their hit 'Rule The World' with bandmates Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald.
Snaps of Take That's closing ceremony audition showed Barlow looking fairly downcast, though the final performance saw him full of determination as his thousands of fans screamed their support across the arena.
