Stars Mark Start Of 9/11 Anniversary Weekend With Street Gig

Broadway stars brought Times Square to a standstill on Friday afternoon (09Sep11) for a performance of Big Apple anthem New York, New York to kickstart a weekend of 9/11 10th anniversary tributes.
Beloved thespians Joel Grey and Bebe Neuwirth and new Chicago star Kara DioGuardi were among the stars who hit the streets for the uplifting one-off performance, which featured the casts of Book of Mormon, Billy Elliott, and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert.
In total, almost 100 Broadway actors and actresses took part in the song-and-dance number.
