British actor Stephen Fry has seen off competition from royal family members to be crowned the U.K.'s top tea partner.
The funnyman beat out Tv presenter Lorraine Kelly and The Queen in a new poll to find the celebrity Brits would most like to take for a spot of tea.
Queen Elizabeth Ii's granddaughter-in-law, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, comes in fourth, while Australian pop star-turned-U.K. reality Tv favourite Peter Andre rounds out the top five in the poll conducted by The Sick Children’s Trust charity in conjunction with Women's Own magazine.
Fry says, "I am overcome and honoured beyond imagining to have been chosen as the U.K.'s favourite celebrity to have a cup of tea with and I can't quite believe that I have come ahead of Lorraine Kelly (a respectable 2nd) and the Queen (an honourable 3rd). I shall celebrate this delightful news with a cup of, gee darling, Darjeeling (tea)."
