Steps singer Claire Richards has admitted she mimes ''certain bits'' on their reunion tour.

The lead vocalist with the 'One for Sorrow' group is appearing on The Ultimate Tour, but admitted in a documentary recorded before they hit the road she would have to mime some parts.

In Sky Living show 'Steps On The Road' she said: ''That amount of singing every single night, is quite tough going.

''And I haven't really sung, so my voice is not as strong. I would never have had to sing that many songs in one go ever before, and some of them are really high, right at the top of my belting range.

''I think there might have to be certain bits that I will have to mime.''

The tour features the group - which also includes Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford-evans and Ian 'H' Watkins - performing their own hits, including 'Tragedy' and 'Deeper Shade Of Blue', as well as a modern pop trcks including Lady GaGa's 'Judas' and Chris Brown's 'Beautiful People'.

A spokesperson for the group assured the band do sing live, saying: ''I can assure fans Steps sing live on the tour.''

Claire added the shows are ''pretty gruelling'' and Faye has said all members have had to make sacrifices.

She said: ''It's a big thing to come back and do this, and everybody's making massive sacrifices to get this show on the road. This year my husband and I were planning on getting pregnant. I'm not getting any younger.''
