Steven Tyler has called off his year-long engagement to model Erin Brady.

The 64-year-old Aerosmith singer's relationship is reportedly over for good this time, after his spokesperson denied the couple had split in October but asked for their privacy to be respected as they were experiencing some ''trials and tribulations''.

A source told the New York Post gossip column Page Six: ''It's over for good this time... They're still friendly but they're going their own ways. The engagement is off.''

The couple began dating in 2006 and the 'Don't Want To Miss A Thing' rocker popped the question to the 38-year-old brunette beauty on Christmas Day in 2011 while on holiday in Hawaii.

The twice married singer - who has four children from previous relationships - was recently said to be eager to focus 100 per cent on his band's 'Global Warming Tour' - which kicked off for a second leg on November 8, two days after they release their first new album in 11 years, 'Music from Another Dimension!'

Steven - who has overcome substance abuse issues - re-joined his bandmates last year for the new projects and Erin was said to have taken a back seat in his life.

It had also been claimed that Erin had a divisive influence on the group, with her being described as a ''kind of Yoko Ono character'' - a reference to the widow of the late John Lennon who was perceived to be the catalyst for The Beatles eventual break-up.
