Sting has confessed he was an awful teacher before he became a rock star - because he only taught kids subjects he found interesting. The message in a bottle rocker was a teacher in his native Newcastle, England before swapping his school attire for punky rock star garb in THE POLICE. And now he admits he really wasn't that good as someone paid to teach and inspire kids. He explains, "I just was in hell when I was teaching. I inspired the kids only by teaching them what I liked and what I was inspired by and enjoyed - that was basically soccer and poetry. "The rest of it I couldn't teach."

I'm must be feeling something similar to Sting right now, I'm hating teaching not because of it but because my heart desires this as well...Sting probably disliked teaching because he's call was to teach people on a grander scale using the beauty of poetry, music, and passion...what a gift that is, to do so, teach people through the soul of music, the art that imitates life: breath and heartbeat, birds chirping, the sound of city life, conversations, emotions, the act of self-surrender
