A painting by French artist Henri Matisse has been recovered almost 10 years after it was stolen from a gallery in Venezuela.
The 1925 work, titled Odalisque a la culotte rouge, was removed from the Caracas Museum of Contemporary Art and replaced with a forgery, but the switch was detected in 2003.
Now the original painting, worth an estimated $3 million (£1.87 million), has reportedly been recovered after a man and a woman allegedly tried to sell it to undercover agents from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation in Miami, Florida.
The two were arrested and charged with possessing stolen goods.
