The summer season got off to an inauspicious start on Thursday as Fox's summer powerhouse, So You Think You Can Dance, averaged 7.49 million viewers. While that was good enough to beat the competition, it was nevertheless down from 9.15 million for last year's season opener. Meanwhile, NBC, trying to revive its Thursday-night comedy lineup, premiered the new sitcom 100 Questions in the 8 30 p.m. time period with disastrous results. The show drew just 2.52 million viewers, producing possibly the worst-ever ratings in that time period for the network. With mostly repeats dominating the rest of its lineup, NBC drew fewer than 3 million viewers for each of its programs, placing last in every half hour, a sad result for the network that once referred to Thursdays as MustSeeTV night.
