Supergrass Bassist Injured In Freak Accident
Supergrass bassist MICK QUINN has broken his back in a freak accident in France.
The English rocker, 37, was holidaying in a rented villa in the south of France when he fell out of a first floor window while sleepwalking.
Quinn was rushed to a specialist spinal unit in Toulouse where he underwent emergency surgery on his two broken vertebrae and his heel.
Doctors expect the Richard III hitmaker to make a full recovery, but his recuperation could take a few months.
Following Quinn's injury, the band's forthcoming gig in their hometown of Oxford, England on 23 September (07) has been cancelled.
Frontman Gaz Coombes laments, "We hope the crazy fool gets back on his feet as soon as possible. I'm sure he'll make a full recovery; he's a tough cookie."
