Survivor Nicaragua Champion Is Jud Fabio Birza
Survivor: NICARAGUA, the hit US reality show, crowned its youngest ever champion yesterday (19th December 2010) when 21-year-old student JUD 'Fabio' BIRZA claimed the $1 million grand prize, reports Reality TV World. Birza had stated that his strategy was not to play too aggressively, and his game-plan paid off when host Jeff Probst announced him as this year's winner.
The student from Venice, California, fended off stiff competition from CHASE RICE, a 24-year-old race car jack-man, as well as from 30-year-old real estate broker MATTHEW 'SASH' LENAHAN. On being crowned the Survivor champion, Birza said, "My key strategy was to basically make everybody laugh and be all crazy but it goes deeper than just, 'Oh haha, let's keep him around because he's funny'", before adding, "I'm feeling like a million bucks". Birza received 5 votes in the grand final, edging out Rice who only received 4 votes. Lenahan failed to receive any votes and finished third.
In the concluding moments of last night's finale, host Jeff Probst revealed a new format for Survivor's 22nd season. 'Survivor: Redemption Island' will feature contestants who have been eliminated living together and battling for a chance to return to the game. The new series is currently scheduled to premiere on February 16th 2010.
