Bbc Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid has refused to rise to claims that she shows too much cleavage whilst she presents the morning news programme. Reid, aged 41, has been presenting the show since 2004 and dismisses the furore over what some viewers perceive to be inappropriate clothing. "People seem to be shocked that women have breasts," said Susannah, in an interview with Radio Times. "There'll be complaints that there is literally a shadow showing."
When Susannah interviewed the actor Hugh Grant in 2010, the Bbc received complaints about her outfit, despite the fact that only the top of her cleavage was showing. Far from getting herself caught up in the argument, though, Susanna seems to accept that having her clothing talked about is part and parcel of being a female news presenter, saying "People are always going to talk about what women wear on TV. It's a fact of life."
