Six men suspected of shooting at rapper Waka Flocka Flame's tour bus during an attempted robbery in February (11) have had all charges against them dropped.
The hip-hop star's vehicle was sprayed with bullets by assailants in two passing cars outside a store in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Flame's security guards opened fire in retaliation, injuring one man in the shoulder, and police subsequently arrested six men in connection to the incident.
They were hit with charges of armed robbery, conspiracy and two counts of shooting into an occupied property, but witnesses were unable to positively identify the shooters, prompting prosecutors to drop the case against the six men, who all have criminal histories.
District Attorney Andrew Murray admits he had no choice but to have the charges dismissed this week (begs09May11) and release them from custody.
Flame was detained at the time of the shooting but was immediately released without charge.
