The last full week of the 2009-2010 broadcast season was won by ABC, an also-ran through most of the season, among adults 18-49 and by CBS among viewers overall. ABC was helped by a full slate of season finales, including the series finale of Lost on Sunday night. The official end of the season comes tonight, with the final episode of American Idol , featuring the naming of this season's winner and the farewell appearance of Simon Cowell likely to draw the top ratings for any entertainment show during the entire season. Among the nightly newscasts, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams remained the leader with 7.67 million viewers. ABC World News with Diane Sawyer placed second with 6.92 million, while the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric continued to trail with 5.33 million.
