The surviving members of The Beastie Boys released a limited-edition line of watches on Tuesday (07May13) to fund programs at the New York park named in honour of late band member Adam 'mca' Yauch.

Yauch passed away from cancer aged 47 on 4 May last year (12) and his mother Frances and bandmate Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz unveiled the newly-renamed Adam Yauch Park in Brooklyn Heights last Friday (03May13).

Horovitz and his fellow Beastie Boy Michael 'Mike D' Diamond presented the line of brightly coloured timepieces on the band's official Facebook.com page on Tuesday and all stock was sold out within 30 minutes.

The nautical-themed $75 (£48.40) accessories, created in partnership with officials at watchmakers Nixon, feature an image of Diamond dressed in a yachting outfit on the dial and the words "I accept this award on behalf of the band" embossed on the strap.
