Former The Doors stars Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger paid tribute to their late bandmate Jim Morrison over the weekend (02-03Jul11) to mark the 40th anniversary of his death.
Morrison died in the bathtub of a Paris, France apartment on 3 July, 1971, and his former bandmates jetted to the French capital to pay their respects 40 years on.
On Sunday (03Jul11), keyboardist Manzarek and guitarist Krieger visited Morrison's grave at the Pere Lachaise cemetery and lit candles in his memory.
They were joined by a number of Morrison's fans, who travelled to the site to lay flowers wearing t-shirts emblazoned with the icon's face alongside the words, "40th anniversary".
