'Jersey Shore' star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino is relieved he managed to conquer his addiction to prescription drugs.
Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino feels ''blessed'' that he managed to beat his addiction.
The 'Jersey Shore' star checked into rehab earlier this year after getting addicted to painkillers following a neck injury he suffered while competing on 'Dancing with the Stars' and Mike admitted it was a tough time for him but he is grateful to have come through it relatively unscathed.
He said: ''I took a lot of things for granted and I was very blessed. I wasn't making the right decisions and before it got too worse or before I started to hurt others, maybe continue to hurt myself I was able to turn around and fix myself and make a positive change that was needed.''
Mike, 31, recently confessed rehab was the hardest challenge he has ever had to face in his life, and is proud of himself for coming through it.
He said: ''I was dependent on prescription pills. I knew I needed help and I went to rehab.
''Rehab is the most unbearable, unpleasant experience you could possibly go through but I am the cleanest and healthiest I have ever been since I was 21 or so.''
