Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny's characters in THE X-FILES have topped a poll to find the U.K.'s favourite movie partnership of all time.
The pair, who played paranormal investigators Dana Scully and Fox Mulder in the cult sci-fi series and film, beat other iconic couplings such as Batman and Robin who came in second in the ranking.
Johnny Castle and Frances (Baby) Houseman from 1987 movie Dirty Dancing were voted in to third position, while Danny and Sandy from 1978 movie musical Grease claimed fourth place.
The 1967 Bonnie and Clyde film scooped fifth place for the bank robbers’ partnership.
