A lawyer for rapper T.I. has shot down reports the star will walk free from prison on Wednesday (31Aug11), insisting rumours of his early release are premature.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., is nearing the end of his 10-month sentence for a probation violation and he's scheduled to leave Arkansas Forrest City Correctional Facility on 29 September (11).
Reports surfaced earlier this week (begs29Aug11) stating T.I. had had his release date brought forward by a month - but his lawyer Jonathan Leonard is adamant that is not the case.
He tells XXLmag.com, "The Bureau of Prisons they won't give you the information (about T.I.'s release) until the very last minute... You don't have any real contact with them (prison officials); they don't communicate with you and they don't tell you when exactly he's gonna be released."
