Tom Cruise - Tom Cruise Auditioned Actress Nazanin Boniadi To Be His Wife?
Tom Cruise allegedly auditioned the London born Iranian actress Nazanin Boniadi to be his wife, before eventually marrying Katie Holmes. In the October issue of Vanity Fair magazine, correspondent Maureen Orth reports that in 2004, the Church of Scientology embarked on a top secret project to find their most famous member a long-time partner.
The organization created an elaborate auditioning process in which women were called in, told they were auditioning for a new training film for Scientology and asked a serious of questions including the rather unsubtle "What do you think of Tom Cruise?". According to Orth, Nazanin Boniadi - an actress who has appeared in 'Iron Man' and 'The Next Three Days' - was selected and dated Cruise from November 2004 to January 2005. She was audited every day and was forced to lose her braces, her red highlights and her previous boyfriend. For their first date, Cruise and Boniadi went to dinner at celebrity haunt Nobu, before heading to a skating rink at the Rockefeller Center. The Hollywood star rented an entire floor at Trump Tower and allegedly told the actress "I've never felt this way before". Eventually things turned sour, and Cruise "barely acknowledged" Boniadi despite moving into a house together and sharing a bedroom. She was eventually asked to move into Scientology's "Celebrity Centre" and told the actor had decided to end the relationship. When asked why Cruise would not break up with her himself, she was told he was not to be disturbed.
As has been widely reported, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recently divorced after she reportedly "blindsided" him by filing papers in New York. Unconfirmed reports suggested Scientology played a role in the split.
