Tommy Hilfiger has no intention of giving up designing.

The 59-year-old fashion mogul - the man behind the Tommy Hilfiger brand - says he loves everything about his job and wants to remain the principal designer because he gets so much joy from it.

He said: "I love the fact that no two days are alike for me. And I love that the collections can be different from the previous season. And you have the ability to invent and create, but still balance it with some logic.

"I also love the visuals, Colour, art, music. What I learnt is that athletes or models, maybe even actors, can't do what they do for life - but I can do this forever."

Tommy has always loved fashion and says his talent for designing started from a young age.

He said: "I learnt my eye is different from others'. I could look at something and think, 'That could be a bit shorter and be very cool.' Or, 'Maybe if that were green it would be better.' So I would always look at something and wonder how it could be different, better or more relevant For Today. I didn't realise that I had that talent until way later; I thought that was the way everyone looked at clothes."
