Mexico's Interior Minister Francisco Blake Mora has been killed in a helicopter crash just outside Mexico City.
The powerful politician, considered President Felipe Calderon's number two, was among a reported nine passengers who died in the tragedy on Friday (11Nov11).
President Calderon insists the crash was probably "an accident" caused by bad weather.
Blake Mora's deputy minister and the media office chief were among those killed.
It's the second such tragedy for President Calderon in the past three years - another Interior secretary, Juan Camilo Mourino, was killed in a plane crash in Mexico City in November, 2008.
