Rockers Toto are following Peter Frampton and Kenny Rogers' lead by suing over lost revenue from digital music sales.
The Africa hitmakers have filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for Southern New York claiming they're entitled to half of the net receipts from downloads of their tracks.
They've also accused Sony bosses of breaching their contract by allegedly failing to hand over the royalties.
The band is seeking compensation in excess of $605,000 (£378,000) and interest, as well as fees to cover accounting and legal charges.
Toto also join Sister Sledge and the administrators of late funk legend Rick James' estate, who have filed similar claims since rapper Eminem won a 2010 appeals court decision and set a legal precedent entitling copyright holders to 50 per cent of the revenue from digital sales.
