'The Only Way Is Essex' could be made into a movie following its phenomenal success on the small screen, with bosses keen to act quickly whilst the show is still a ratings winner in the UK. The show debuted in late 2010, winning a Bafta Award shortly afterwards.
A semi-reality show, the premise puts real people in structured situations, though the lines are unscripted - similar to 'Made In Chelsea' and American precursors 'The Hills' and 'Jersey Shore'. One of the show's stars, Sam Faiers, spoke to the UK newspaper The Daily Star and expressed her enthusiasm for a big screen adaptation, saying "I think a movie would be funny. The film would have to contain drama, of course, more drama than there is in the show. There should be a wedding, a pregnancy, a divorce. Another affair!" The rumours come despite the news that LAUREN GOODGER could be the third person to quit the show, following the departures of Amy Childs and Mark Wright - it was the latter she split up with on camera and she admitted "In the beginning the show was a real laugh and we had fun. But the last series has been really tough. It's horrible going through any break-up but it's even worse doing it in front of the cameras. Maybe it's time for me to move on."
Wright's lecherous ways haven't deserted him whilst taking part in the 'I'm A Celebrity . Get Me Out Of Here!' jungle, reportedly flirting with model Emily Scott on the show
