Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is not expected to follow director Michael Bay in committing to another 'Transformers' film after reports suggest she is wary of becoming typecast. It could get worse for Bay too as another of the previous films' stars Josh Duhamel suggested that none of the original cast would be returning for a fourth instalment of the action film and commercial blockbuster.
Bay had seemed enthusiastic about the project when writing on his blog recently, claiming that Steven Spielberg would be getting involved and that they were "working on a whole new re imagining of Transformers, the fourth installment," continuing, he added "We have been working on the idea for a few months. I'm excited about where it's headed."
However it seems that few of his old cast are keen on the idea, a source telling the UK's Daily Mirror "Rosie enjoyed being in the third film but that action's not really her bag. She doesn't want to get typecast," in reference to Huntington-Whiteley's potential involvement. Duhamel meanwhile was even blunter, stating "I don't think anybody's doing it, I know Shia ¬LaBeouf is not doing it. I don't think Tyrese Gibson or Rosie or anybody else is doing it." It looks like Bay might have to be casting his net far and wide if he is to replicate the success of the previous three films.
