British rocker Reg Presley has been hospitalised after suffering a suspected stroke - his second in as many years.
The Troggs frontman is also being treated for pneumonia and fluid on his heart at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, England.
His wife Brenda says, "Doctors think he has had another stroke. He's not very well and I have no idea how long he'll be in hospital. They are draining off fluid from around his heart to ease his breathing."
The Wild Thing hitmaker, 70, fell ill before performing a concert in Germany on 3 December (11), but went ahead with the gig.
She adds, "It started that weekend but he was contracted to do it so he thought he had better go ahead. He came back and got steadily worse. In the last couple of weeks he has gradually deteriorated - it is like he has hit a brick wall all of a sudden."
Presley suffered a serious stroke while on vacation in Spain with his family last year (10).
