Top director Don Medford has died, aged 95.

The prolific Tv mogul took charge of episodes of Dynasty and The Twilight Zone, but he is perhaps best known for directing the climax of 1960s drama The Fugitive, which broke records when 78 million viewers tuned in to watch.

He also directed Sidney Poitier in The Organization and The Hunting Party, which featured Oliver Reed and Gene Hackman.

Medford died on 12 December (12) at the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in California.
