Two producers behind Notorious B.I.G.'s upcoming Broadway tribute show Ready 2 Die were arrested in Connecticut on Wednesday (18Jul12) for allegedly stealing books.
Playwright Alfred Green and Raheim Pope were taken into custody after reportedly making off with over a dozen novels from a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Westport and stashing the collection in a nearby car.
Green was charged with criminal attempt at larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny, as was Pope, who was hit with an additional charge of interfering with an officer.
According to AllHipHop.com, their stageshow, named after the tragic rapper's first album, was originally slated to premiere at Broadway's New World Stages in May (12) but was postponed following a series of delays.
