UniMás, the former Telefutura network, attracted 4.58 million viewers for its coverage of the Mexico-U.S. FIFA World Cup qualifying soccer match, which ended in an 0-0 tie. The telecast, which originated in Mexico City, set a ratings record for the Univision-owned Spanish-speaking network, which upped its sports programming when it was rebranded in January. The match drew 1.5 million viewers in the 18-34 age group, making it the No. 3 primetime TV program in that demo Tuesday night, eclipsing the audience for its broadcast parent Univision as well as Telemundo.
