Van Dyke Has Red Hot Fun With Chili Peppers Star Smith On Kids Album
Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has teamed up with beloved Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke for a new children's album.
The rocker plays drums and helped 84-year-old Van Dyke perfect his rapping skills on Rhythm Train.
The actor tells Spinner.com, "At my age, my generation, we are not particularly rap-crazy. Rap has a great beat, but I swear to God, I have never been able to understand one word. I don't know what they're saying."
Smith adds, "I am certainly no rapper but I helped guide DICk with it the first day. It was pretty funny."
Rhythm Train was co-produced by Smith, who plays vocal characters like a pirate and train conductor on the album's tracks.
Songs include Roly Poly in My Guacamole and Lotta Dinosaur.
