Vanna White - Vanna White Drunk During 'Wheel Of Fortune' Tapings?
Long-time Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sejak is at the center of controversy after admitting he and co-host Vanna White were often drunk while shooting the game-show. During an interview with Espn2, Pat said he and White would often go across the street and drink "two or three or six" margaritas before returning to work.
Vanna, who was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006, has yet to comment on the claims. After the news spread quickly across websites, blogs and social networks, Sejak backtracked and told ABC News Radio that he had exaggerated the claims, saying, "To be honest, and I hate to put an end to this drinking thing because we've gotten a lot of mileage out of it, but it was probably a half a dozen times we went across the street and had a margarita". He claimed that because he was "on air", he wanted to make the story sound more exciting, adding, "In truth, you really can't do television if you're stumbling all over the place". In the original interview, Sejak had gone into considerable detail concerning his drinking and claimed he would often have "trouble recognizing the alphabet" for shows.
Pat has enjoyed moderate success since leaving his role on The Wheel of Fortune. In 1993, he appeared as himself on the popular children's cartoon show Rugrats. More recently, he has begun developing puzzle games - the best known of which 'Lucky Letters' debuted in 2007.
