Victoria Beckham believes her husband David is her "soulmate".

The singer-turned-fashion designer - who has been married to the soccer player for 11 years - thinks herself "lucky" to have found David her partner, even though them both being in the public eye has made their marriage harder.

She said: "We're soulmates. We're so lucky to have each other. We love each other.

"You go into marriage knowing there are going to be ups and downs. We're in the public eye so we have more to deal with than most. We accepted that years ago. It's just about us and the family."

The couple - who now live in Los Angeles with their children Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight and five-year-old Cruz - keep The Passion in their relationship alive by having a weekly date night where they watch TV.

The 35-year-old sports star explained to Britain's Hello! magazine: "We always make time for each other. Our boys are our main priority, but we have a date night every Wednesday."

Victoria added: "We catch up on what we've missed on TV."

Despite still feeling an affinity to the UK, the couple admit they don't expect to ever quit their Los Angeles home.

Victoria, 36, said: "My personal style is very English and I'm proud to be an English designer but I'd say we enjoy the best of both worlds. We love living here. The American people have been very kind to us.

"The American culture is great I can't see us living anywhere else. The kids go to great schools, we've got great friends, good restaurants."
