Vince Neil - Vince Neil Begins Jail Sentence In Las Vegas
Vince Neil has begun his 15-day jail sentence for drunk driving.
VINCE NEIL, the American rocker and Motley Crue frontman, is behind bars in Las Vegas after beginning his 15-day jail sentence, reports ABC News.Neil, who pleaded guilty in January to drunk driving near the Las Vegas strip, arrived at the Clark County Detention Centre about 10.15am yesterday (15th February 2011). Las Vegas police confirmed that the 50-year-old is being housed separately from the other inmates. Neil was sentenced to 15 days in jail and a further 15 days under house arrest as part of a plea deal that spared him a trial. Authorities say they stopped the singer's black Lamborghini sports car on 27th June 2010 after Neil had left the Las Vegas Hilton resort. The rocker, who was also fined $585, could have faced a six-month prison sentence if the case had gone to trial.
Back in 1986, VINCE NEIL was sentenced to 30 days in prison and five-years' probation for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol after a car-crash involving the HANOI ROCKS drummer NICHOLAS DINGLEY. Neil and Dingley were driving to a local liquor store near Redondo Beach when the MOTLEY CRUE singer lost control of his car and collided into an oncoming vehicle. The occupants of the other car were seriously injured and Dingley was killed. Neil was later found to be well above the Californian legal alcohol limit.
