Justin Bieber - Wahoo! Justin Bieber To Make 'The Simpsons' Cameo
Teenage sensation, Justin Bieber has recorded his cameo performance for The Simpsons, reports The New York Daily News. The singer alerted fans via social networking site.
Bart, Lisa, Homer and Marge, or The Simpsons as they're affectionately known welcome the prodigal son of pop to their animated universe. More used to a tanned bronze than Groening yellow, Beiber confirmed to his staggering 26.9 million twitter followers that a cartoon cameo can be expected. "Just did a voiceover for the Simpsons! swaggy," tweeted the 18-year old, who is younger than the show itself. The impromptu announcement was quickly erased, but the show's executive producer, Al Jean, soon confirmed 'the beeb's' inclusion. "It's a cameo," he told EW.com."But all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on," he quipped.
The Simpsons is entering an impressive 24th season, and the immortal, evergreen inhabitants of Springfield remain just as, if not more popular today as they did in 1989, when the show debuted. Bieber isn't the first, and certainly won't be the last pop-culture icon to grace Fox's most prized asset; Ricky Gervias, Seth Rogen and Anne Hathaway have all made guest appearances, with the latter winning a Grammy for her efforts. Hathaway, who played Catwoman in the third of the Batman trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises, returns for the 24th season alongside Ed Norton, Steve Carell, Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Portman, who are set to star in the satirical cartoon.
