Whitney Houston - Whitney Houston Tributes Pour In At The Grammys
Whitney Houston tributes poured in for the singer at the Grammy Awards last night (12.02.12) after her body was discovered at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday afternoon (11.02.12).
Jennifer Hudson sang a moving rendition of the late star's biggest hit 'I Will Always Love You' at the ceremony as a mark of respect to the 30-year-old singer after her body was discovered at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday afternoon (11.02.12).
Grammys host LL Cool J revealed the spectacle's organisers were "up all night" planning how to fittingly pay tribute to Whitney's life.
He explained: "We were up all night, and we just wanted to figure out and show Whitney Houston the love, the appreciation, the love, the respect she deserves based on her as a human being and the career that she had and give her that love and make sure that people know we care."
Chaka Khan didn't feel it was "appropriate" to sing at the ceremony and she pulled out of her planned performance with Jennifer.
She tweeted: "As I grieve the loss of my friend and 'little sister,' I don't feel it appropriate to perform at this time. Continue to pray for the family. (sic)"
