Star Trek legend William Shatner is set to be honoured with a lifetime achievement award in his native Canada.
The sci-fi icon will pick up the trophy from the Governor General's Performing Arts Award Foundation on Saturday (14May11).
The prize is handed out by Canada's Governor General to natives who have excelled in the performing arts.
Shatner, who was born in Montreal, writes on Twitter.com, "I am honoured to be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Governor General's Performing Arts Award Foundation on Sat (sic)."
Other honorees at the ceremony will include filmmaker Denis Villeneuve and composer Howard Shore.
