Former Take That star Robbie Williams has defended his latest single RUDEBOX, after fans' mixed reactions to his rap efforts. The singer has broken away from his pop roots on the track, provoking criticism from devotees - but Williams loves it. The singer tells MTV, "It has a very special place in my heart. "I think out of any Robbie Williams song I've written, I've listened to Rudebox the most. I've played it to death; it's almost worn out my computer." Addressing the mediocre response to the track, Williams says, "It's confused me. Lots of people have said, 'We don't like it, we don't get it', but to me it's really strong. I personally love it."

i think rob makes very well in defending his Rudebox ;) any artist makes very well in defending the works they make and with which they feel really happy :) at the beginning i was afraid Rudebox was kinda "americanisation" of rob to conquer the americans and i was feeling a bit disappointed, but then i realised thx god i was wrong and that rob made it cos he really wanted to do that and he felt happy doing that :D and its great hes adopting another styles cos everything he makes is really amazing :)
