Willow Smith is planning to become as big as Lady GaGa.

The 'Whip My Hair' singer, daughter of actor and rapper Will Smith, has received a phenomenal response to her debut single in the US and the UK - where she is presently on course to reach number one in the country's singles charts this week - and is hoping her career can see her become as big as the 'Bad Romance' singer, who has sold millions of records across the globe.

Willow said: "I would like to be a very well known artist. I would like to be as big as Lady Gaga. I would like to be bigger. I'd like to be a big rock star."

While Willow, who is just ten years old, describes her fledgling career as "awesome" she added the responsibility of being a singer sometimes means she has to make sacrifices in her social life.

She added to NME magazine: "The hardest part is wanting to hang out with your friends when you have to work.

"My friends will come over and you're recording and you're like, 'Pleeease let me go with my friends. I don't wanna stay here!' but people are relying on you."

'Whip My Hair' is out now.
