Taylor Swift battled off competition from the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Lady GaGa to take pole position in the annual list of highest earners, as compiled by Forbes Magazine.
The list of highest paid celebrities under thirty was dominated by females, with six of the desirable spots on the magazine's Top 10 list going to women, four of them making it into the top five. Swift rocketed to the top of the pile with annual earnings estimated at around $57 million for the year ending in May. Meanwhile Bieber, the only male in the top five, scored second place with an impressive estimated $55 million worth of earnings over the same period. Rihanna and Gaga, who placed 3rd and 4th respectively, came just short with respective earnings of $53 million and $52 million. Last year the 'Poker Face' singer topped the pole with estimated earnings believed to be around $90 million!
Katy Perry and Adele took fifth and sixth places, whilst 'Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart eased into seventh. The rest of the list is made up of men, with rapper Lil Wayne taking the eighth spot and fellow 'Twilight' actors Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson taking the last two spots. The final four are said to have made somewhere between $26.5 million and $34.5 million over the past year.
