Stevie Wonder paid tribute to Britain's Glastonbury Festival as he topped the bill on Sunday night (27Jun10) - by dedicating his hit song HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the event's 40th anniversary.
The festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, south-west England saw stars including Gorillaz, Muse, Kylie Minogue, The Scissor Sisters and Snoop Dogg perform to thousands of revellers over the weekend-long bash.
The Superstition hitmaker headlined on Sunday to close the festivities and surprised the crowd by bringing event organiser Michael Eavis on to the stage to praise his work over the last 40 years.
Wonder told revellers, "I want to thank this wonderful man who's had this for 40 years. Yes, 40 years. It's a celebration. Happy Birthday. Michael Eavis..."
He then broke into song, performing Happy Birthday as Eavis - who founded the event in 1970 - joined in on vocals.
