Wynonna Judd was forced to cancel a show at the Deadwood Mountain Grant Hotel, South Dakota, on Saturday evening (August 18, 2012) after her husband was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on the U.S. Highway, south of Hill City.
According to the Rapid City Journal, Judd's husband Michael Scott Moser, 55, was heading north when his Harley-Davidson drifted across the center line and hit the driver's side door of a southbound Chevrolet Malibu driven by a Mr Michael Bruce, 59, of Rapid City. Bruce declined medical attention at the scene, though Moser was taken to hospital via helicopter with injuries that police described as serious but not life-threatening. Country star Judd was riding ahead of her husband at the time, though was not involved in the accident. She did however cancel her show, though according to the singer's Facebook page, the performance will be rescheduled in the near future. Police said Moser was being cited for driving on the wrong side of the road and for not having a license to operate a motorcycle. In a statement on reported on Sunday by the New York Daily News on Sunday, Judd said, "The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I," she wrote in a statement Sunday.Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side".
Wynonna Judd married Michael during an intimate ceremony on the country singer's farm in June 2012. Judd has been married twice before, though told US Weekly magazine at the time that she couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding.
