JOHNNY ROBINSON is set to be questioned on cheating the benefits system, according to The Daily Mail. X-Factor finalist JOHNNY ROBINSON has apparently been claiming incapacity pay-outs for a bad back for more than a decade and has now diverted attention towards himself by being on the TV show.
The former drag queen originally lived in a bedsit in Harrow, north-west London, and is believed to have been receiving £92.45-a-week through his benefits. This was due to the fact that Robinson suffered from the arthritis-related condition spondylitis, an inflammation of the vertebrae which in turn causes a stiff spine. The Daily Mail now reports that the Department for Work and Pensions will question him after seeing his energetic performances on TV, including being lowered on platforms and dancing across the stage. Johnny's friends have come out to support the reality TV star by saying that he rarely worked due to his physical problems and has had to rely on painkillers in order to alleviate his suffering. A spokesperson for the Department for Work and Pensions said yesterday (28 Oct 2011): "We cannot comment on an individual case, but we are in contact with Mr Robinson about his situation. Incapacity benefit is there to support people who are unable to work and if someone's circumstances change or new evidence comes to light, they may not get the benefit anymore.'
JOHNNY ROBINSON has currently made it to the final ten acts of this year's X-Factor. The show's chiefs last night had said that they always knew that he was getting incapacity payments. The investigation continues.
