Trisha Yearwood and her husband Garth Brooks skipped the prestigious Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday (09Nov11) - because they were busy building homes in Haiti.
The country singers jetted to the earthquake-ravaged country earlier this week (begs07Nov11) to lend a hand with the nation's recovery efforts and helped charity bosses at Habitat for Humanity build houses for those left devastated by the disaster.
But the trip wasn't all hard work and no play - the couple took a break from its construction site duties to stage an impromptu acoustic concert for fellow workers on Wednesday evening (09Nov11).
