Led Zeppelin's eagerly-anticipated reunion concert in London has been postponed for two weeks as guitarist Jimmy Page has fractured a finger.

The show at London's O2 Arena - a tribute concert in honour of late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun - has been pushed back from November 26th to December 10th.

In a band statement, Page's medical specialist confirmed the need to postpone the show.

"I have examined the fracture to Mr Page's finger and it is my opinion that with proper rest and treatment he will be ready to resume rehearsing in three weeks' time and thus be able to perform on December 10th".

All tickets for the original show will be valid for the rescheduled date and ticket holders unable to attend the rearranged concert have until 12:00 GMT on November 14th to apply for a full refund.

Page added: "I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks. However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves and we feel this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and are fans have always been accustomed to."

Millions of people applied for the £125 tickets for the gig, which will see Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist John Paul Jones on stage together for the first time since 1988.

Jason Bonham, son of late Led Zeppelin stickman John is to play drums at the reunion concert, while Foreigner, Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman and Paolo Nutini are set to support.
