Mariah Carey, the 41-year-old American singer who gave birth to twins over the weekend, has provided a clue to the names of the babies, reports Yahoo News. Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon welcomed a baby girl weighing 5lbs 3oz and a boy weighing 5lbs 6oz at a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday (2nd May 2011).
Despite keeping her Twitter followers updated with the progress of her pregnancy, the singer is yet to reveal the names of the babies. However, she did tease followers with the news that both children's names begin with the letter 'M'. It was reported that Mariah and comedian Cannon renewed their wedding vows in front of the Reverend Al Sharpton in hospital shortly after the arrival of their children on Saturday. Nick tweeted, "Thank you to The Rev Al who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife's vows and pray with our children. Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!" Sharpton himself later tweeted, "I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their third anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies".
Mariah Carey was previously married to the Casablanca Records music executive Tommy Mottola. The couple married in a lavish ceremony in June 1993 but separated shortly before Christmas in 1996. The pair finalized their divorce two years later.
